
Southwest Baptist University will host a visiting artist exhibit, featuring award-winning artist Karla Breeding Trammell through Nov. 4 at the Driskill Art Gallery on the Bolivar campus. In addition to the exhibit, a reception for Trammell will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at the gallery.
Tickets are now on sale for the 13th annual "Ye Olde Madrigal Dinners," which will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1 and Friday, Dec. 2 in the McClelland Dining Facility on the Southwest Baptist University Bolivar campus.
The Southwest Baptist University department of music hosted a band competition as part of the annual Homecoming parade on Oct. 1, 2016, through downtown Bolivar and the SBU campus.
Three Southwest Baptist University alumni were presented special awards in recognition of living lives of service and Dr. C. Pat Taylor was recognized for his 20 years as SBU president at Honors Chapel on Friday, Sept. 30.

The Southwest Baptist University Department of Music will present "A Potpourri of Wind Music" at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 6, in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.
Southwest Baptist University will hold a grand opening for the Judy Taylor Physical Therapy Garden and the Warren B. Davis Family Physical Therapy Center Faculty Practice from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6 at 2103 S. Springfield Ave., Bolivar.

Enrollment for Southwest Baptist University's Mountain View campus is up for the 2016 fall semester - a 35.4 percent increase from the 2015 fall semester enrollment.
