
The Chorale of Southwest Baptist University will present its Fall concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 4, in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.
"The Awakening," a three-day student-led event for the sole purpose of seeking God to bring revival within the University family and Bolivar community, returns for its second year Friday-Sunday, Nov. 5-7, in Mabee Chapel on the Bolivar campus.

SBU President Dr. Rick Melson presented a "State of the University" address during the fall SBU Board of Trustees meeting Tuesday, Oct. 19, providing a current picture of enrollment trends at the university as well as optimism for the future and exciting highlights at SBU.

The Southwest Baptist University Speaking Bearcats opened their 2021-2022 season with an overall sweepstakes victory in the virtual Missouri Mule/Dale Carnegie Swing tournament on Oct. 15-16 hosted by the University of Central Missouri.
Southwest Baptist University students graduating in December were recognized for their contributions to their academic areas and divisions during "A Cup of Excellence" ceremony Tuesday evening, Oct. 12.

The Southwest Baptist University Area of Music hosted a band competition as part of the annual Homecoming parade on Oct. 2, through downtown Bolivar and the SBU campus.

Southwest Baptist University received national recognition for its cybersecurity degree as one of the first colleges in the nation to receive the prestigious accreditation from the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), which extends retroactively from Oct. 1, 2019.

Coleman Yantis and Abigail Farris were announced as the 2021 Southwest Baptist University Homecoming King and Queen at halftime of the Bearcats' football game against the University of Indianapolis on Oct. 2.
